April is for Survivors.

Surviving sexual assault can be silent. Many survivors live on through an internal acceptance without belief in social or political justice. We stand with these Survivors and we promote a break in silence and challenge survivors to use their voice.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in April serves as a critical platform to spotlight the pervasive issue of sexual violence. Throughout April, organizations, activists, and communities worldwide unite to educate, advocate, and support survivors. SAAM aims to break the silence surrounding sexual assault, challenge harmful attitudes, and promote consent culture. It provides opportunities for dialogue, prevention initiatives, and resources for survivors. By fostering awareness and understanding, SAAM endeavors to create safer environments and empower individuals to speak out against sexual violence. Together, we can strive for a society where every person is respected, safe, and free from the threat of sexual assault.
